About
Altaica Urban makes building activity in Brussels readable: the planning and environmental permits of the 19 communes, their history, their classification and their figures. It is an independent service published by Altaica SRL, with no connection to the regional or communal administration.
What this site does
The region publishes its permits as open data, but in a shape that is hard to use: one current state per case, free-text descriptions, surfaces that do not mean what they look like, and no history. We pull that feed every night, keep what changes, classify the works and recompute the measures that carry meaning.
The result is for the people who do this for a living: developers, architects, agencies, consultancies, investors, communal services. The public pages — communes, permits, open inquiries — are free to consult.
Independence
Altaica Urban is an independent service by Altaica SRL, not affiliated with urban.brussels or the Brussels-Capital Region. Official information: openpermits.brussels / nova.brussels.
We use neither the logos, nor the colours, nor the typography of the administration, and we never present ourselves as an official service. A case consulted here carries no administrative weight: for any procedure, address the commune or the region.

Altaica SRL also publishes ALTBS, a service for Belgian company financials. The two products are independent of each other.
Our rules
- No personal names. The open feed contains none, and we neither collect nor infer any.
- No prospecting features. Our terms of use forbid using this data to contact the occupants or owners of the addresses concerned.
- Requests for urban-planning information are never shown at address level: they signal a sale in progress.
- No statistic derived from fewer than ten cases.
- A missing value is shown as missing, with its reason, never as a zero.
Writing to us
An error in one of our derived fields, a plainly wrong work type, a question about the method: write to affiche@alturb.be. An error in the case itself has to be corrected by the administration; the correction then reaches us within 24 hours.
If an address is yours and its presence here troubles you, you can ask for it to be removed from the public pages. We accept requests concerning a home without asking you to justify them; the privacy notice describes how.
